DAAD RISE 2014
MAE Student Kaustubh Deshpande Accepted to the DAAD RISE Program
The MAE Department is pleased to announce one of its students, Kaustubh Deshpande, has been accepted to the DAAD RISE program. RISE is a summer internship program for undergraduate students from the United States, Canada and the UK in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences and engineering. RISE offers unique opportunities for Bachelor students to work with research groups at universities and top research institutions across Germany for a period of 2 to 3 months during the summer. RISE interns are matched with doctoral students whom they assist and who serve as their mentors. Kaustubh’s research topic in Germany will be in the development and improvement of microfluidic linear actuators for a refreshable braille display. He will be working within an interdisciplinary team at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Congratulations to Kaustubh Deshpande on this exciting opportunity.
