James T. Luxhoj
Dr. James T. Luxhøj, Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering, at Rutgers University, has been involved with UAS safety risk modeling since 2006. His system safety research, funded by the FAA and NASA, led to the development of a comprehensive hazard taxonomy for UAS integration into the National Airspace System (NAS). Professor Luxhøj also served as a Distinguished Summer Faculty Fellow for the Office of Naval Research (ONR) where he applied his safety risk methodology to the U.S. Navy’s Unmanned Combat Aircraft System (UCAS).
